Youth Confirmation (ages 13-17)
“The sacrament of Confirmation perfects Baptismal grace; it is the sacrament which gives the Holy Spirit in order to root us more deeply in the divine filiation, incorporate us more firmly into Christ, strengthen our bond with the Church, associate us more closely with her mission, and help us bear witness to the Christian faith in words accompanied by deeds.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church #1316)
St. John’s Youth Confirmation Preparation Program is for teenagers between the ages 13-17. If you have received the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist but have not been confirmed, we invite you to receive the gifts of the Holy Spirit that enables us to live out our faith in the fullness of grace. It is our hope that young Catholics be prepared to respond and cooperate with God’s grace in all circumstances of their daily lives. With this goal in mind, we strive to present the Church’s teachings faithfully and in such a way as to be engaging, accessible, and relevant to the teenage person.
