    Director of Adult Catechesis and Women's Discipleship

    Since becoming active at St. John's in college with the Catholic Student Organization, Bri has been seen around the parish for many different involvements, mostly with the Young Adult Ministry. Starting in this role was a great way to turn her big hobby into a career and she is excited to become more involved in the life of the Church, especially with the people that she has met through St. John's. With her involvement in sacramental prep, RCIA, and women's discipleship, she is going to be able to spend more of her time and energy building relationships and accompanying the many good people in our parish. 

    Hobbies: In her free time, she enjoys being active outdoors, visiting National Parks, creating art, making people laugh, and attempting to get her houseplants to flourish.
    Favorite Saint: St. John Paul II

    Favorite Scripture: Look at the birds in the sky; they do not sow or reap, they gather nothing into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are not you more important than they? -Matthew 6:26

    Director of Communications & Special Events

    Megan has been with St. John’s since 2011 and oversees internal and external communication for the parish including weekly parishioner emails, graphics for displayed print and web material, social media, website and mobile app updates, press releases, parish bulletin and newsletter as well as coordination with Georgia Street events.  As Director of Special Events, Megan helps plan and support parish events as needed through helping to build community, organizing volunteers and engaging parishioners in parish life. As part of this role, she coordinates and helps to manage St. John's annual Christkindl Village. She also handles rentals of the Pan Am Parish Hall Rental space and Bulletin Ads for St. John's bulletin. 

    Hobbies: spending quality time with friends and family, walking, summer concerts and reading 
    Favorite Saint: St. Peter and Padre Pio
    Favorite Scripture:  “Commit your life to the Lord; trust in him and he will act.” –Psalm 37

    Director of Finance

    Dave has been with St. John’s since March 2020 and oversees the financial and business operations for the parish including maintenance of all bookkeeping records (ledgers, payroll, accounts receivable and payable), current financial information on all outreach funds, preparation of financial reports and presentation materials for parish Finance Council meetings, development and tracking of the parish budget, annual reporting to parishioners, and compliance with all government and archdiocesan reporting requirements.  For more info on giving to St. John's: http://www.stjohnsindy.org/tithing.html

    Hobbies: Spending time with family (especially his grandchildren), reading, the Indianapolis 500.
    Favorite Saint: St. Matthew, patron saint of accountants and bookkeepers.

    Director of Facilities

    Mark joined the Ministry Team at St. John's in January 2022.  He has been a parishioner since 2014 when his wife Caitlin and he were married at St. John's.  They have four children all baptized here at St. John's so this parish certainly holds great meaning for Mark and his family!  In his work, Mark is responsible for routine and daily maintenance and cleaning of church and parish office facilities.  He will also meet with the design team and contractors to oversee the upcoming building and renovation projects.  

    Hobbies: Spending time with family and playing with my kids, especially outside in nature.
    Favorite Saints: St. Joseph the Worker and St. Maximilian Kolbe
    Favorite Scripture: "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.  Are you not much more valuable than they?  Can any one of you by worrying add one single hour to your life" (Matthew 6:26-27)

    Director of Music
    Daniel Padilla | daniel.padilla@stjohnsindy.org | 317.635.2021 x 123
    Daniel arrived at St. John's in April 2021. He is responsible for the Music Ministry, including playing the organ for the weekend Masses and special celebrations, preparing and rehearsing with the two St. John choirs, training cantors, and arranging music for instrumental ensembles. 

    Hobbies: Daniel enjoys live theatre, making music with his friends, and spending time with his family. 
    Favorite Saints: Daniel's favorite saint is St. Gregory the Great, a patron saint of music and the father of Gregorian Chant. St. Ignatius of Antioch has also been a rich source of inspiration for Daniel. And of course, Daniel prays for the intercession of St. Cecilia before every Mass.
    Favorite Scripture: "Do not worry, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ But strive first for the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. So do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today’s trouble is enough for today." (Matthew 6:31, 33-34)

    Administrative Assistant & Special Events
    Hayley Oliverio | hayley.oliverio@stjohnsindy.org | 317.635.2021 x 120
    Hayley started in January of 2022, and finds joy in being the first person to greet our guests at the office door or on the phone. In addition to the administrative tasks that help the parish and office keep up with the vibrant parish life of St. John's, she coordinates Mass Intentions, Hospitality Greeters, Mass Ministry scheduling, and special events such as Young Adult Socials and other Parish-wide gatherings. Hayley and her husband Patrick have been parishioners since 2019 and got married at St. John's in October of 2021. 

    Hobbies: quilting, going for walks, and reading 
    Favorite Saints: Hayley's favorite saints are the "Theresas" for each of their spiritualities: St. Therese of Lisieux-"little way", St. Teresa of Avila-"the interior castle", and Mother Teresa-"doing small things with great love" 
    Favorite Scripture: Isaiah 43:1-4 "...Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name: you are mine. When you pass through waters, I will be with you; through rivers, you shall not be swept away. When you walk through fire, you shall not be burned, nor will flames consume you. For I, the LORD, am your God, the Holy One of Israel, your savior.  I give Egypt as ransom for you, Ethiopia and Seba in exchange for you. Because you are precious in my eyes and honored, and I love you"

    Wedding Coordinator

    Bridget joined the staff in the Fall of 2003.  Her responsibilities include scheduling all the weddings that take place at St. John’s within each calendar year. She provides knowledge to engaged couples who are inquiring about St. John’s and also provide information regarding downtown weddings.  She is  in the office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Please feel free to contact Bridget and she will guide you through the process of booking a wedding date.

    Hobbies: Bridget enjoys walking and biking at Indy parks, visiting different Catholic churches, and being involved in the Irvington neighborhood community.
    Favorite Saint: St. Bernadette

    Director of Garden Door Ministry/Wedding Hostess
    Danielle Heitkamp | danielle.heitkamp@stjohnsindy.org 
    Danielle joined the staff in July of 2021. She organizes and runs our Garden Door homeless ministry. She oversees volunteers, food donations, and clothing donations. In addition to these duties, she also serves in the role of wedding hostess. She helps to make sure weddings at St. John's run smoothly and are a beautiful example of the sacrament. 

    Hobbies: Swing dancing, baking, and hiking
    Favorite Saints: St. Mary Magdalene, St. John Paul II, and the Holy Family
    Favorite Scripture: John 15
