The Indy SVdP Council is operated and maintained by a staff that is 100% volunteers. 100% of all donations go to help the needy. We service needy persons regardless of religious affiliations, race or national origin. Our home visitors determine that a genuine need exists. Once a week volunteers take our "beggars for the poor" truck to the inner city with food, toiletries and clothing to serve the homeless. Food assistance is offered to families through the Pratt-Quigley Center Food Pantry; appliance, clothing, bed linens, sick room equipment and furniture assistance is offered through the SVdP Distribution Center. SVDP is also sponsoring a program to help individuals and families move from a position of dependency on government and/or community assistance to a state of self-sufficiency. www.svdpindy.org
You can volunteer at the food pantry, supply store, as a phone call receiver or as a pick up truck operator.
