Thinking about becoming Catholic?
To join the Catholic Church as an adult, one goes through a process called OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation for Adults). OCIA consists of classes that cover the teachings of the faith over several months, as well as a continuous deepening of your relationship with Christ. The culmination of this process is at the Easter Vigil, where all who desire to receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, Confirmation) will enter into the fullness of the Church. OCIA is an opportunity to learn more about the teachings of the Church, and is meant to guide and accompany you along your faith journey. This is a pressure-free environment for all who attend, and there is no expectation that you will enter into the Church by its end. It is merely a tool to help you discern! Classes start mid-September and go through early June. For more information, contact Bri Campbell: [email protected] |
