Therapy
Therapy is one of the most effective ways to heal from sexual abuse and is a tool given from God to help reach complete restoration. Therapy gives individuals a safe space to explore what happened to them, how it impacted them, and how they can move forward. Therapy will teach individuals new skills to cope with the effects of trauma and to feel more safe and balanced in their daily life. You can also use Catholic Therapists to search for Catholic therapists in your area who might be able to help. Additionally, there are many trusted and talented therapists in the area who can provide specialized treatment for sexual abuse who do not practice from a specifically Catholic or Christian perspective. It is important to find a skilled therapist that you connect with. |
