Prayer Response to Protest Rally
Faithful Citizens encourages you to attend a "Prayer Response" to a protest rally against HB 1337 signed into law by Governor Mike Pence. The protest is planned to take place at the Indiana State House, on Saturday April 9th at 1 PM.
Go here to read House Enrolled Act (HEA) 1337:
https://iga.in.gov/static-documents/5/1/b/5/51b52d50/HB1337.05.ENRS.pdf
This Pro-Life activity is to be a peaceful and prayerful response to the protest rally.
Everyone is asked to remain calm and non-violent. Should we be approached by the media simply reply, "no comment" and continue to pray.
1. Those interested may meet in the Holy Rosary Parking lot (520 Stevens St.) between 11:45 and noon and either walk or carpool to the State House. (See attached PDFs for parking locations).
2. At 12:30 gather at the southwest corner of the intersection at N Capitol Ave and W Washington St.
3. Open with a prayer of Unity.
4. Separate and spread out in groups of 3 or 4 along the designated prayer spaces on the sidewalk along the eastern, western and southern boundaries of the State House lawn. This is assuming the pro-abort protesters are located at the south steps of the State House.
5. Copies of the Knights of Columbus Scriptural Rosary for Peace and the Family is encouraged to be prayed by each group. Followed by the prayer of the Divine Mercy Chaplet.
6. After the Divine Mercy all groups will return to the gathering place for a final silent pray together before we say our goodbyes and disperse.
7. If you are unable to attend please pray wherever you are.
Be aware that there will be present a group of very vocal Pro-Lifers with signs who traditionally stand up close to the pro-aborts. We do not suggest you join with them. As Pro-Life activists we understand there are times and places for different tactics, but our group on this day recommends we offer prayer support for the law signed by Governor Pence, for our legislators and for the conversion of the hearts and minds of abortion minded individuals.
