Novena for the Visit of Pope Francis to the United States

    IUPUI Pilgrimage September 2015

    Picture
PRAYER FOR OUR HOLY FATHER, POPE FRANCIS
Dear Heavenly Father, we ask your blessing upon our Holy Father, Pope Francis, and his preparation and visit to the United States for the World Meeting of Families.  May he guide our Church and world by speaking and teaching the Gospel truth of natural marriage and family with clarity and charity.

May our bishops and priests be given renewed zeal to propose the beauty, goodness and truth of marriage, family and the dignity of all human life.

May all people of good will seek a deeper knowledge, wisdom and understanding of the gift of life and have the courage to live life abundantly, in the light of Christ and His holy Church.

May we as a parish continue to welcome all people and teach well what God has ordained, striving to be living witnesses of a Civilization of Love.

And may our nation and its leaders be so deeply moved by the authentic lives of Christians that they seek to live the mission of love by building up the dignity of all persons and families, with the Holy Family as the model of right living.

We ask this through the intercession of our patron, St. John the Evangelist and the Holy Family, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, as we pray, Hail Mary…
