Experience Medjugorje
Experience Medjugorje
Thursday, March 7 @ St. John's 6:30pm-8:30pm in the Church On June 24, 1981, six children in the small village of Medjugorje in Bosnia-Herzegovina reported seeing apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary. She identified herself to the children as the Queen of Peace and has continued to appear every day since then. To this day, over 40 million pilgrims have journeyed to this site of Our Lady’s apparitions in order to grow closer to her Son. On March 7th from 6:30-8:30pm, Fr. Leon Pereira, the chaplain of English pilgrims in Medjugorje, will be coming to St. John’s to tell the story of Medjugorje and to spread the 5 Main Messages that Our Lady wishes for us to know. Adoration will begin at 6:30pm, and will be followed by Fr. Leon’s talk at 7pm, and Q&A at 8pm. All are welcome! *Please not that there will be no Holy Hour from 9-10pm on March 7. From Father Rick Nagel: Medjugorje holds a special place in my heart. I have personally been blessed by a pilgrimage to Medjugorje as a seminarian in April 2006. This fruitful time was a grace filled affirmation of my vocation to the priesthood. The intercession of Our Blessed Mother Mary was a great gift as I experienced her take my doubts, fears, and anxieties to the foot of the cross of her son, Jesus! This consolation allowed me to forge ahead with great confidence and joy to ordination and fortifies me yet today as a priest and beloved Son of God. I hope many will be able to join us on March 7! |
