New COVID Mass Protocol
With the recent lifting of the Dispensation to attend Mass from the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, we have some new COVID Mass Protocol as we enter into this “new normal.” As stated from the Archdiocese, except for the unique situations as described in Archbishop Thompson’s message (click here for full statement from Archbishop), those who are otherwise healthy are obliged to return to Sunday Mass starting this Sunday, June 13.
This new protocol includes the following:
- We have taken down the ropes and the entire church is open for seating per the guidance from the City of Indianapolis as well as the CDC to be open at 100% capacity.
- We will return to two communion lines with all processing toward the front of the church to receive Jesus in the Eucharist. Greeters will no longer release pews for communion.
- There will be no Precious Blood reception.
- While masks are no longer mandated, they are encouraged during Mass by the Archbishop.
- There will be cleaning stations in the church. If you desire, you are welcome to wipe down your pew before and/or after use.
- If you are sick or have any symptoms of COVID or other illnesses, please stay home. We will continue to livestream Sunday 10:30am Mass on Facebook for those unable to join in person.
