Formation Houses
Culture today pulls young people in many different directions. St. John's and students from IUPUI have formed formation houses to live in Christ-centered communities. These houses are made up of students at IUPUI who enkindle the love of Christ in their homes and take His love out to share on campus.
Saint Mother Teresa House (SMT)
The women in the Saint Mother Teresa house have formed a mission statement that gives light into the mission and goal for community living. “Our Mission as women of the Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta House is intentionally living together, living the Gospel more fully, living a life of invitation and service, and holding each other accountable to becoming Saints.” These women are all students at IUPUI and hope that their example of community living will inspire others to do so while keeping Christ at the center. Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati (BPG) The men’s formation house, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati enkindles the love of Christ through the community living of college student men with a heart to serve the Lord and grow in virtue. These men host prayer nights for their fellow brothers and encourage all to find a deeper love of Christ through community. The formation house has seen many different men over the years and has seen many of its men devote their lives to the church in the form of a religious vocation.
