Faithful Citizenship - Forming Consciences
As faithful citizens and Catholics it is important that we form our consciences for the upcoming election. The United States of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) has developed the following documents to help Catholics form their consciences for faithful citizenship. “Conscience is a judgment of reason whereby the human person recognizes the moral quality of a concrete act. . . . [Every person] is obliged to follow faithfully what he [or she] knows to be just and right” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, no.1778). We as Catholics have a lifelong obligation to form our consciences in accord with human reason, enlightened by the teaching of Christ as it comes to us through the Church. Please read through the following documents provided by the USCCB for the upcoming election and pray for the upcoming election that God's will and way be done. May God Bless America!
