St. John Christkindl Village Beer Naming Contest
2017 Beer Naming Contest
Two years ago we named our first ever Christkindl Village Beer Sankt Johannes Brau - meaning St. John's Brew in German. This year we will again be naming the beer with a beer naming contest. Our neighbor, the Ram Restaurant, is brewing an authentic beer especially for the festival on December 15-17. It will be Vienna Lager, which is unpasteurized and unfiltered. 90% of the malt is grown and malted within a 200 mile radius of Lebanon, Indiana and will be featured in the beer and wine garden at the festival along with being available through Christmas at the RAM.
Not only is the RAM donating all the beer for the festival, they will also donate 10% of all purchases by St. John’s Parishioners and Friends on December 13! That evening, we will have a “Tap Party” at the Ram starting at 6pm to taste the newly brewed beer as well as reveal the new name. Mark your calendars and come join us on December 13! All names must be submitted by 12 midnight on Thursday, December 7. A final round of voting for the top 3 names will take place December 11-12. Come join us for the tap night for the big name reveal, and to try the beer for those who are of age!

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 names:
1st Place - $100 gift card to the RAM
2nd Place - $75 gift card to the RAM
3rd Place - $50 gift card to the RAM
Christmas Trivia
We will also continue Christmas Trivia that night as well, beginning at 7pm at the RAM on December 13. Cost is $5 per person. Trivia is first come, first serve. Please plan to pay (in cash) the night of trivia. For more information on trivia contact Amanda DeRoche at: [email protected]. Winning team will receive at $50 gift card to the RAM and a surprise gift bag!
